Nurses Can Become Authors Too

Nurses are strategic, thoughtful, and able to prioritize, not to mention the world needs to hear from us regarding our specific areas of expertise.  These two things create the perfect environment for nurses to develop into authors in publications or in self-published non-fiction or fictional novels.

The opportunities are endless:  the patient who needs encouragement due to a new diagnosis, the support group who wants to be able to lift caregivers or what about the novice nurse who could use some direction?

These are just a few options our there when it comes to nurses becoming health writers or authors. You see, our particular role affords us opportunities in various setting.  We can contribute to healthcare not only with “hands on” care but the knowledge base that we carry from education allows us to care for populations in an unique written way.
