The critical thinking courses that we have at Pedagogy are designed to assist nurses in establishing best practices through the development of multi-faceted critical thinking skills. These skills will enable recognition of all factors impacting safe nursing practice in many areas of health care to prevent negative patient outcomes. You will also discover how critical thinking templates can be created to assist with promoting and developing critical thinking through the use of case studies.
Critical thinking is the ability to think clearly and rationally. It includes the ability to engage in reflective and independent thinking. Someone with critical thinking skills is able to understand the logical connections between ideas; identify, construct and evaluate arguments; detect inconsistencies and common mistakes in reasoning; solve problems systematically; and identify the relevance and importance of ideas. We use critical thinking to enhance work processes and improve social situations.
At Pedagogy, we have compiled our three critical thinking classes to provide a well rounded approach to critical thinking in the health care profession. This package includes:
Critical Thinking in Cardiac Assessment
Critical Thinking in Medication Administration
Navigation of the Medication Reconciliation Process
