This course is designed for all nurse clinicians who work within the healthcare system. The purpose of this course is to help nursing professionals identify burnout and what steps they can take to becoming a more mindful practitioner. The course will discuss the demands placed on nurses today, the definition of burnout and its implications. The nurse learner will learn the definition of mindfulness and the momentum and proponents of mindfulness. The nurse will learn the mental as well as the physical benefits of becoming a Mindful Nurse and how this improves patient outcomes. Also addressed is the role the Nurse leader plays in identifying the need for mindfulness and the benefits of training.
